Those of you that keep yourselves up to date with games might have heard about Spore: the game developed by Will Wright, who is known for creating Sim City and The Sims. In spore you can create your own creature by selecting from lots of options, types of hands, eyes etc. It seems that there are a few out there that are creating their favorite Final Fantasy XI monsters.
A quick search in the sporepedia brings up three pages of anything from Yagudos to Sahagins. The list can only grow seeing as how the game isn’t even out yet. If you’re interested in making your own FFXI Spore creations you can download the Spre Creature Creator here. If you do make your own Final Fantasy XI Spore creation, make sure to post it up in our forums.
We’ve had word for quite sometime that the guys over at Vana’diel Profiles were going to start their own podcast up. They now have a promo up for their podcast “Level Down” which will premiere at the end of the month. Some of the PFA hosts as well as members of LBR will be present on the first episode to help welcome in this great addition to the Final Fantasy XI podcast community.
Recently we sat down with Kixxi and Sesh over at Vana’diel Profiles. It was definitly interesting being on the “other side” and being interviewed instead of doing the interviewing. For anybody interested you can listen to the interview below (We will make it available for download soon) and you can view the write up here.

Right after the screen shot was taken however the Pandemonium Warden changed into the Battleclad Chariot. The Pandemonium Lamps (there are 8 in all) seen at the bottom of the screen shot are Archaic Gears. Continue reading »
