doesn’t she wish WoW had fights like this or and dedication to this degree. That’s what’s so great about ff11. WoW is for wimps.
The news doesnt surprise me, it’s just an HNM linkshell half the HNM’s take multiple days and a number of partys to releive each other to take down. It’s like compairing Ninja Gaiden to… Dynasty Warriors. One is just HARD. Get over it b@tches.
This is awesome that this story is getting news coverage. I wonder what sort to “statement” SE will release? They can’t just let this go without saying anything at all!
I think the point they’re trying to make have more weight if G4 added to the the blurb regarding the AV fight where SE has confirmed a game fight is designed to take that long; whereas it’s not entirely impossible that there aren’t gameplay mechanics that possibly have yet to be discovered that could prevent or significantly weaken some of the wardens forms.
I’m not trying to play down Beyond the Limitation’s efforts which are truly epic indeed; merely pointing out that video game journalism might benefit from better journalism and a tad less sensationalism. I’m being picky though – 18 hours whether intended or not is a bit much. Are the strats used similar to other large group fights where different players are added and removed from the core alliance? Is it possible that adding new members is triggering form changes – maybe I should do some more research myself.
Yea X play does not seem to like FFXI and RPG’s in general i watched all three days of their E3 shows and they said that they were all about the demos well what about the FFIV and the Chrono Trigger demos i didnt see them all i saw were crap FPS’s!!

Guys, what I don’t think you realize is that the Linkshell in question who attempted this fight is considered one of, if not the best Linkshell that FFXI has to offer, and after 18 hours they couldn’t even beat it. Whats that say for the rest of us? SE i hope we see some changes to a couple of these!

You know, at some point in the past the word “wow” was used to express exclamation and not solely as an acronym. It could be that she was using the traditional form. Just a thought. <_<

I think because X-play is sorta notorious for licking WoWs balls as often as they can.
I’m from that Server and I know many people in BTL and its was a valiant effort on their part.. Its sad.. But I agree with Isosi… If BTL can’t do it.. who the hell can? In many ways SE makes the game a little to hard. Its not like a normal rpg that you can save and come back another day, I mean really 18hr fight? nonstop??? cmon now.. SE what the hell ..
Not to mention all these people who showed up had to farm the picks and fight mini nms just to get to the fight lols. complete crap..
