Today we’re excited to announce we have opened up recruitment for Forum Scout positions! This is a new role that has been created in order to dig up even more community news from several of the popular forums.

What is a Forum Scout?
The role of a Forum Scout is to find topics of interest in the community forums and report it back to Pet Food Alpha in the hopes that it can make front page news and better inform the Final Fantasy XI community of everything that’s going on.
Where are we looking for information?
These are the forums we are currently looking into:
- Allakhazam
- Blue Gartr
- Dreams in Vana’diel
- FFXIclopedia
- Killing Ifrit
- Limit Break Radio
- Quetzalcoatl Daily News
If there is another lage FFXI community forum that you know of and would like to cover it, please let us know. We are welcoming those that frequent multiple forums as well as those that only visit one of the forums from the list above. We strongly suggest you are a frequent reader of a forum before deciding to become a scout for it.
Role Details
Those that are accepted as Forum Scouts will be given special access to the forums where they will be able to post any interesting topics that are found within community forums. Our hope is that each Forum Scout will be able to provide one link to a topic of interest per week. Along with a link, we would also like to see a short summary about the thread that has been discovered. Members of the Pet Food Alpha Staff will check these threads and construct an article if it is determined that it would be of interest to the community.
We will also give Forum Scouts the opportunity to write their own articles about their findings if they wish
