
Now that the list of augments has been released for the pants awarded for completing “A Shantotto Ascension”, we have to ask a question:
What will you choose?
There are a variety of interesting augments that players will be able to choose from ranging from “Conserve TP +5″ to “Elemental Siphon +20″. There’s even the very attractive “Movement Speed +8″ for those that just aren’t sure they want to customize their pants for a specific job purpose.
Let us know in comments and the forum what you’re going to pick for your pants (should you purchase the new add-on scenario) and let us know what purpose they’ll serve for you in your adventures. We’ll keep coming back to these for the next few weeks so if you think of a great combination later on you can still add it to the list!

For my DRG:
Accuracy +7
Attack +7
For my WHM:
Cure potency +5%
MP +25 Enmity -4
For my DRG I use those to make my ACC better as I am a Elvaan and the Attack for my Attacks to be Stronger.
My WHM the Cure Potency is for my Cures to be better and the MP and Enmity is for to have less hate from my Cure Spells and to have more MP.

NIN: kiting Kirin and other NMs, and super tanking
MNK: kiting NMs when pulling hate off with a Super Chi Blast
THF: pulling/kitting/sacing mainly in salvage and dynamis
If I hadn’t quit, and if I didn’t have homam legs, I would have picked this for my THF:
Haste+3%
Accuracy+7 / DA+2%
Not sure which one, probably Acc cause I didn’t have capped Dagger merits. Anyone missing Byakko’s Haidate or Homam legs have a golden opportunity to make up for it by making legs with Haste on them. The PDT-/Movement speed one is also very compelling.

For my summoner:
Pet: Store TP +8/Subtle Blow +8
Movement Speed +8%
No other piece of armor (that I know of) gives pet store tp or subtle blow. All the other augments you can really get already (elemental siphon would only really give me +15 and not 20 since I have oracles). So these two seem the best bet to me
For Drg:
Haste +3%
Double Attack +2%
Don’t have homam legs yet. These would make a nice alternative to have until I did get my pair.
Elemental Siphon +20 is garbage, Its only a 17-20 MP increase. with smn skill @ 344.

haste 3% and acc 7 for drk TP legs i dont got homam yet but i will use them till i get homam and will probly re augment them to something else maby ranged acc and ranged attack for my sam/rng gear set we will see
I can’t help but have a feeling that Haste +3% and Movement Speed +8% is going to be a popular choice – the best of two sky pants, rolled up in to one neat, slightly compromised package. Best of all, no sky needed! (Some fetch quests may be required.)
If the add-on turns out not to be a piece of junk, I know that’s what I would put on my Tatsumaki sitagoromo when my Red Mage reached 75. Haste +3% certainly beats out anything else we have in the slot physically (we can’t wear kitty pants anyway; our “best” front line legs currently are Pahluwan Seraweels), and even if I do ever get Crimson Cuisses, I could always replace the Movement Speed with Accuracy +7 (which, even by itself, is *still* better than Pahluwan), or Magic Accuracy +4 and have a decent pair of hybrid legs that, for Enfeebling purposes, are only beaten by two other legs in the game (Morrigan’s, and of course Nashira), or maybe even something else entirely.
