So this past week I finally got a new mic. But its not just any mic.

No sir.

It’s an MXL 990, this mic was recommended by Aniero over at LBR, it’s one of the mics they use to do their recording. The biggest issue for me wanting a new mic was that annoying popping sound I’m sure you’ve all heard on the episodes. It’d occur when my headset moved or the cord on the headset moved, it was very hard to avoid and even more difficult to try and edit out. So I wanted to look into getting a desktop mic.

So the last few months i’ve been slowly leveling up my DRK. The addition of Level Sync was really nice because I always want to check out as much content as I can so I can then turn around and give some good discussion for it either on the podcast, website, or just my blog. So.. as far as Level Sync goes… its a terrific idea, it works quite well… but not being able to get skill ups absolutely 100% SUCKS. I went from 43-53 in parties that were synced lower than my current level. That means all of my skills, Great Sword, Scythe, Dark Magic ALL were horribly below cap. Magic isn’t a problem, I can go spam absorb spells on fish in sea. The weapons… that’ll probably suck. I’ll worry about that another time.

On a side note… got my Chaos LOLerets. Now i just need to get the hands, and upgrade them to have some usefull AF <.<;

So after this week’s episode was done recording, we all stuck around in the skype call. I had asked Steak and Opiate if they would maybe wanna try doing a couple nyzul runs since i got the ever awesome Drakesbane and needed a new weapon to break. So like forever hours later (it was hard trying to get the full party together, finally found some people though *shoutout to Durendal)

So the good news is…. everyone in attendance got their disk cleared up to floor 10.

Bad news is that out of all the NMs we killed… at least 5, none of them droped a weapon… I think SE changed the drop rate or something just to make me tightly hold my stuffed baby chocobo and cry in a corner at night because i cant Tachi: Rana something in the face (though i also want the DNC one).

Floor 10 for us was a free floor so… that was a nice surprise. I had only ever seen two of those in the past. We walked around hoping that maybe there would be some NMs or something because we still had time to kill. Instead we found that the free floor was littered with chests that had lots of the items that you can get from the chest at the beginning, and in a nice quantity.

Hopefully this week i can get a few more floors, get some weapons, and maybe get close to my Askar body ^^

Yesterday my LS went back into La Vaule to try and finish out 8 NM set to get into the stronghold BC, the good news is that we’re 7/8. The bad news is that we haven’t been able to go after Drake yet.. which kind of sucks because i’d really like to get the Skytsrider and then the earring from the BCNM for the SET effect with it. Hopefully next time we go over there we can finish the set and get lucky with drops

For those that look at the title and thing “ok w/e fusion you’re just crazy” Please see the SS to the right. That is what i did for a majority of this event. It’s times like these i’m thankful the whole “smellovision” thing didn’t work out.

Now that that’s out of the way.. onto the actual event.

You go out to whichever area you want to do the event in, talk to the moogle, get a bovine card, then get him to dump buffalo sweat and milk all over you. All while talking like a cowboy.

Theres 3 types of buffalo you can go after, calf, cow, and bull. Bull will do that annoying “lawl im sending you back to your HP” crap so stay away from them. Calfs are a nice one to start out with, simply walk in front of them so they pick up that nasty buffalo and milk stench, then walk them to the moogle. Cows are similar expect your just stick your head in their butt as you walk back to the moogle (meaning you ‘push’ them from behind).

After you do this a bunch of times you can pick some items by trading the moogle your bovine card, you can get a belt that turns you into a chigoe, and my personal favorite a new horn to toss into your MH!
