With the new years event now live (currently looking at 9 minutes til ‘09) I’ve started to try and figure out just what exactly we get out of it. One thing’s for certain though. NEW FURNITURE ITEM! Yes… its a case of milk. However! It’s an event item so I had to have it for my collection!
Still waiting to see how we can get that Jeuno Tree…..
Since MMM was released me and a small group of friends have been getting together each night to do some mazes. One of the best things we’ve discovered is that the maze will only be as hard as the lowest level person that enters. This being the case, we’ll have one person go in on a low level job to dumb down the enemies. This way we can run through and quickly clear the maze for marbles (you wont get exp doing this as the mobs are too low of a level).
The Maze Rune page on the wiki is coming together quite nicely, and one of the things that they’ve made a spot for is the +/- marbles column. There are some runes that will give a marble bonus to mazes! And the best news is that a lot of these can be purchased for only 100 marbles. They’re absolutely perfect for these ‘marble runs’ I’ve been doing with my friends.
Just got out of our run for this evening where I used my tabula with yet another marble+ rune. Check it out

Next… time for some MMM talk. Even since they came out, i’ve been doing several mazes a day. I went ahead and got an upgraded tabula (M03) and also purchased the other two vouchers. One for a ‘boss’ type fight, and one for a synthesis maze. Over all I like that theres serveral different things to be done with these mazes. However I would have preferred a few more runes starting out that would allow you to gear it better for a soloable set up. However there are runes you can get that will make the mobs easier, tougher etc. So soloing may be an option after you obtain that.
I’ve also been updating some stuff on the wiki regarding MMM. All those tabula pages? /pees on it. Mine.
I also added a “Testimonials” section to each voucher page and listed a few of the things i’ve encountered so if you’re interested make sure to check them out!

So I’ve finally jumped further into the new WotG story missions and I have to say.. I absolutely LOVE the localization team!
I also finished the last Serpeant General quest today which I highly reccomend. I’ve mentioned the other general quests a few times on the show so make sure to check them out if you haven’t! If you complete all of them you even get access to Mercenary Camp! The BCNM that’s previously only been available to those who attended FanFest 2007!

I log in today expecting to do some more of the WotG mission CS and i see “Fus! Ixion gogo!” Much to my surprise my LS had teamed up with the shell we do Einherjar with and were fighting Ixion in Saruta. After a long fight we downed him, and my LS got the cloak and horn. Thats about 600k per person!
I gotta say.. my LS doesnt do HNMs or kings or w/e, but when we do get the rare chance at something like this or sandworm, it definitely has an awesome feeling while fighting it.
So instead of working on my paper I’m just sitting here and staring at my screen while logged in. I happened across a pair of tarus next to one of the pillars in whitegate with their Moogle Shields from VanaFest.. then I noticed by the other pillar there was a group with Nomad Moogle Shields so I decided to just stand over there with them and look cool.
Was kind of neat to have such an exclusive item.
“How can I get one of those shields?”
“You can’t”

Logged in right after the update, got Saber Dance unlocked and got my Moogle Sheild. Saber Dance has a 5 minute recast and a 5 minute duration… can’t wait to try it out. I have a research paper to type up that’s due tomorrow so hopefully the update won’t distract me TOO much. I guess its a good thing that MMM wasn’t included in this update then.
I’ll be posting back with some screens of the new missions when I get those started. I still have all the audio to go through from the event. The concert from Kumi Tanioka is on the RadioXI stream so make sure to check that out! We’ll also have the developer panel available at some point this week. Once i get through that then we can finally get out our FanFest episode. (we’ll leave update stuff for next week)
Should probably end this and get to work on that research paper ^^; gotta love the internet and its various distractions.
With FanFest only a week away now, that means the December version update is even closer!
Since the last update i’ve been slacking on the nation quests in the past. Tonight I was finally able to finish up Bastok and Windurst!
Again, the quality of the cutscenes in WotG do nothing but amaze me. I can’t wait to see what the new missions have in store for us when the update hits in a couple weeks.
